All cars must be stock. Any 1979 and newer cars, except Hearses.
Doors can be chained or welded shut. Chains to be min 5/16” single loop, 24” long max, with (2) 6” patches per span.
Hoods can be secured in up to 6 places using either or combination of maximum ¾” diameter rods, or 5/16” single loop chains. Rods or chains can go through/around frame. If using rods, washers to be a max of 4”x4”. 2 threaded rods can be attached to crush box and run up engine side of firewall and used as hood bolts. They can NOT be attached to the dash pipe.
Trunks can be secured in up to 6 places using either or combination of maximum ¾” diameter rods, or 5/16” single loop chains. Rods or chains can go through/around frame. If using rods, washers to be max of 4”x4”. Station Wagons can patch weld tailgate with 6 - 4”x4” pads.
Driver’s door may be welded shut. A DRIVERS side door bar is STRONGLY recommended, not to exceed 1” out from the body and no more than 4” past door seams.
Stiffening of suspension is ALLOWED.
Radiators must be in stock position. You may choose to have no cooling system at all. Radii Barrels ALLOWED. 3” max outside dimension. Bolted or welded to core support only. May add 2 flat straps to core support only to hold barrel. May also add 1 - 1”x1” tube or angle across frame rails to support barrel. Up to 2x2 vertical tank support NO KICKER.
NO welding on any part of car except:
Bumpers may be welded on. You may remove bumpers back to frame and weld. You can weld factory bumper brackets, adding of iron to the FACTORY bolt holes
Rear ends
You may add leaf spring rear end of any car. Max of 8 leaf per side on ANY car.
Front A-frames may be reinforced.
Frame seam welding firewall forward & floor to rocker seam ONLY.
Any factory automotive bumper can be used and maybe stuffed.
Front dash bar, X brace or straight brace behind seat, and door bars allowed. It must be no larger than 6” pipe or tubing, thick walled material, and plates no bigger than 6”x6”. Nothing may be extended back past the cross brace behind the seat. 4 down points allowed off cage, must be vertical and not to extend beyond the perimeter of the cage. Down points to be attached/welded to floor sheet metal only.
In non-leaf cars only you may add a 1\4”x4” up to 24” long strap on rear hump frame over rear axle. One strap per frame rail.
If factory floor is gone (rusted), you may weld in floor not to exceed 1/8” thickness, can be tack/spot welded to sub frame. Judges will have a drill and if it is questionable it will be checked.
Floors may be bolted to frame/sub frame in up to 4 additional places. Using a max of ¾” diameter rod/bolts and 5”x5” plates/washers.
Air bags MUST be de-activated before race

This class is very stock - intended for the beginner or someone who wants to build a vehicle in a day or two. NO WELDING PERIOD!!!!
WHEEL BASE: 104’ TO 108” WITH NO MODIFICATIONS TO MEET WHEEL BASE REQUIREMENTS. NO FUNCTIONING 4X4 VEHICLES ALLOWED. (If originally a 4x4 then remove front or rear drive shaft)
Vehicles must be left completely factory stock, except as noted below.
Dash may be left in or removed.
Gas tank must be placed in back seat area, NO PLASTIC GAS TANKS.
Ignition may be hotwired.
Transmission shifter MUST BE STOCK.
Hood must have a 12”x12” minimum hole to easily extinguish engine fires and secured with max of 2 chains.
Doors must be chained shut in a max of ONE place per door. Chains cannot go around the frame.
Hood, trunk, and tailgate must be chained shut in TWO places max.
Battery must be relocated inside of vehicle, secured with metal strap or chain SECURED TO BODY TIN ONLY and covered ONE battery max.
Factory original drive train must be used. Exhaust headers (stacks) through the hood are allowed
Any tire or wheel can be used. NO BAR TIRES ON DRIVE WHEELS
NO VALVE STEM PROTECTORS IN THIS CLASS
NO TRANNY COOLERS UNLESS STOCK AND IN STOCK POSITION. LOOPED TRANNY LINES OK
RADIATORS MUST BE STOCK AND IN STOCK LOCATION.

Compact Cars
Compacts max wheelbase 104 inches
NO plated floors
Radiators, engines, and transmissions must be in stock position. NO maneuvering of wheelbase to meet maximums.
All hoods and trunks must be able to be opened for inspection
NO reinforcement unless specified in any class.
Doors must be welded or chained (weld not to exceed 12 inches per door)
Max of 6 bolts or chains in hood or trunk to body tin only ¾” diameter rod max.
Bumpers may be bolted or welded. (NO homemade bumpers, bumper brackets or shocks)
Two side-to-side bars allowed for safety. (NO bars facing forward and or back)
Radiators must be stock (NO radii-barrels)
Stock body bolts may be replaced (NO added bolts)
IF IT DOESN’T SAY YOU CAN, YOU CAN’T!!
General preparation Rules: These rules apply to all classes!!!!!
CHECK IN IS NO LATER THAN 5:00 P.M.
Registration $50.00 car and driver, or $40.00 if pre-registered Friday before the race.
All glass, plastic, and pot metal must be removed from the vehicle - nothing in the bottom of the doors or trunks and all outside hardware must be removed - I.e. mirrors, lights, chrome, moldings, fiberglass, ect.
All flammable materials inside the cab must be removed except necessary safety padding and sear.
All vehicles must have a driver’s seat securely mounted to the floor.
Safety padding is recommended around the driver’s area.
All vehicles must exhibit the ability to stop.
Vehicles must be safe to run and drive. NO dirty or vulgar language on the vehicle
Must have min 12”x12” roof sign securely fastened with the vehicle number visible or it will NOT run.
Driver’s door should be painted white.
Vehicles may add protection over the driver’s window. STRONGLY recommended to put one or two bars from dash to roof in front window area.
Original gas tanks must be removed from the vehicle & can NOT be used inside the vehicle.
A steel/stainless gas tank must be used and be bolted or welded to the floor. A steel frame may be welded to the floor for mounting tank. NO ratchet straps, bungee cords or zip ties are allowed. All tanks must have a secure fitting for gas line to be clamped to. Drilling holes in silicone gas line NOT allowed. NO PLASTIC TANKS!!!
Your fuel line must be inside the cab of the car. Cannot go through the floor and along the frame rail
A maximum tank size of 6 gallons of fuel may be used.
Electric fuel pumps are allowed.
A maximum of 2 standard automotive or 1 large industrial batteries may be used.
**** Batteries must be securely mounted inside the cab and covered. Steel box or steel frame for battery to sit in/on is required. Battery must be covered by a rubber mat.
Steel transmission coolers will be allowed.
Metal, steel braided, or approved transmission lines must be used. NO low pressure lines may be used
Any bolts from seats, battery boxes, fuel tanks, transmission coolers, ect that extend through the frame or sub-frame will count as a body mount. Please refer to the class rules for how many are allowed.
****Floor shifters and headers are allowed. Headers must point up to the sky, tip outs allowed on top.
Trailer hitches must be completely removed.
If bumpers are removed, the bumper bolts must be removed or trimmed.
Any attempt to cover frames by buffing, grinding, coating with grease, glue, mud, ect will result in immediate disqualification
Minimal pre-bending of the body is allowed. NO wedging or packing allowed. Must have access to inspect.
Hoods must be open for inspection.
A 12”x12” min hole must be cut in hood above the carburetor.
NO split rims or studded tires.
Foam filled, doubled tires, and valve stem protectors are allowed.
No snow, bar or lug tires on drive wheels, regardless of tread condition.
Radiators and Radii-barrels must have a secured vend down and filled with water or ice only, NO anti-freeze, if we smell it during the race you will be disqualified.
Any combination of engine, transmission, and rear end may be used on the vehicle.
Bends or bubbles on the frame or sub-frame may be fixed on pre-ran vehicles - it may not extend more than 2” past the affected area. The frame may be patched with a ¼” or thinner material. NO more than 2 patches per frame rail.
If running radiator fan, hood must cover fan in compartment area.
